Your own perceived value, being an artist plays a role within the creative work's such as...
- Years of practice.
- Professional accomplishments.
- Major group or solo exhibitions.
- Residencies.
- Artistic reputation complexities of your work.

3 - What relevance does number of years as a practitioner have in valuing/pricing your work?
- When you grow as an artist it is helpful that you have established your "starting point". One thing you can do as an artist is to grow upward gradually overtime.
4 - What role do your professional accomplishments play in the valuing/pricing your work?
- Professional accomplishments show that you are willing to do better and create "SELL OUT SHOW'S" or be in other major exhibitions with other artist's. This shows that the buyer knows what you are doing and the success-fullness of what artwork you have done.
5 - How might you go about calculating the cost of your labor and materials?
- Consider expenses of your materials and the time of hours you put into your work. These will be added to your artist fees and other costs. Keep a contract involved with the work just in case the buyer doesnt like it and have put the effort into the work. Upfront payment must be made!
6 - How might your professional networks be relevant in the valuing/pricing of your work?
- If say one of your network's is high in the marketing of selling they may refer you to one of their buyers to increase the value of your artwork's.
7- Who is your target market? How do you know?
- First compare your pricing to other artist's works. If your an emerging artist your pricing will in the top "reasonable" bench mark. then gradually you'll be able to price your works higher.
8 - How might being a current student be relevant in the valuing/pricing of your work's?
- This makes you an emerging and up and coming artist but having the certificate or degree of your profession creates more value for your work.
9 - How might the context of Think and Create showcase be relevant in the valuing/pricing of your work?
- This creates a broader idea for the buyer's to see and know the vale of your work. Along with how you display and show the showcase. This creates interest in the buyer's mind to see more and have valued your work more as it has been displayed and showcased.
10 - What role might the communication of your future aspirations play in the valuing/pricing of your work?
- If you have the passion for it it may put more value in your work. Especially if your goal is aiming for a particular career. That helps the value of your work as it makes it your profession.
11 - What are some of the factors that may lead to increasing the cost of your work?
- Reputation.
- Trust.
- Brand identity.
- Level of professionalism.
- Skill.
- Public perception.

- Mediums used for this piece pricey materials. Such as quality material costs of the oil paints, canvas, varnish, brushes.
- The time to finish this painting took almost 4 weeks due to drying time, touch up's, the time it actually took to paint it and the effort put into it.
