(1) Explain why the kind of creative collaboration that produces innovation, according to Hill, can create tension and stress.
- Hill explains that creative collaboration produces innovation, but also explains that to many people with the involvement and engagement is too hard to handle. Which also creates tension/stress that's hard and emotionally draining this is were Hill calls "Sparks fly and creates Tension and Stress."
(2) Hill says "a truly creative solution is something that cannot be foreseen or planned". How, therefor, might you approach planning to ensure deadlines are met while being open to the potential for exploration and discovery?
- "Creative Agility". Hill explain's it is a bit of a trail and error situation. whilst a portfolio of such idea's is produced and tested. She explains that most people use experiments that avoid to look like failure. But produce work and experiment's that show innovation. whether it work's or not...
(3) Why is the process of integrating ideas to achieve the "most innovative solution", according to Hill, inherently discomforting - emotionally and intellectually?
- Hill explains that this happens because it is a leadership challenge - Arises because options A and B are often "incompatible" or "completely opposable ideas" which creates this discomfort and frustration because all of these ideas are bounced off each other. She explains it takes courage to hold up. which create new possibilities that creates great pressure to make choices, or any choice to move on.
(4) Describe how you think the three Capabilities of Innovation might relate to your own creative studio practices?
- Creative Abrasion: so this helps because it creates ideas and debate's.
- Creative Agility: This is good because it help's me test and experiment through reflection, pursuit and adjustment's.
- Creative Resolution: This is also relatable for my work as it help's make integrative decision's that combine or even out the opposing idea's.
