Layout of Exhibition

 The layout of the Exhibition:

SITE: having the whole wall to myself helps push layout more for the works. gives the works space for them to be individual but to still be a whole body of works. allowing me room to add paint to the walls to merge the artwork and body forms out from the wall. Along with giving the work a 3D feel to push the flat boundaries and surface. Also, this site allows the audience to fully engage in a start to finish the journey of the works. I want the audience to be confronted by the un-comfortability and confrontation of the bodies laid out at you.

This video discusses the idea of what it takes to be a curator at The Museum. This is a live tour and QnA about a curator exploring how curators decide which artworks go on display, how new exhibitions are designed, and how to become and be involved as a curator.

They look at the complex ecosystem of commercial galleries to ask questions of why a gallery space and get to the root of how galleries effectively steward artists’ careers, promote their work, and protect their markets. Gallerists, artists, and art-world influencers like Amalia Dayan, Daniella Luxembourg, etc who provide their insights. Describing the historical value of the influence galleries has on the art market.

This video is a part of a series, where they explain different sectors of the Art World. explaining how art galleries work and what they do for artists. There is an artist out there who do not believe they need an art gallery, however, the use of an art gallery is a crucial part of the artist and their career. Connecting the artist to the art gallery.

Organizing the layout of my projects exhibition and how interpreting painting on the wall is added with the work.

Here I started laying out my works to see what looks best on the wall, what pieces will go together and if it is too cramped or too much to look at to interpret the painting on the wall. To merge the wall and the flat painting together to give the illusion that the bodies are either warping into or out form/of the wall.

Layout 2 - Swapping the glass still cluttered and too much to look at. also one of the glass painting's on its own doesn't fit in with the works.

Layout 3 - more space but no glass within the works. wanted to add the glass to give the works a warped feeling.

Layout 4 - more spaced out but feel as tho it is still cramped and unfitting with the works.

Layout 5 - very spaced out. They sit as tho there all together ye they also look as if they are an individual piece. - Chose this layout for the space around the works so I can start working in the painting of the walls.

Layout 5 - Added the glass on top of middle works to give Dimension. We did this by scarcely and carefully encasing the glass in 4 nails, top, bottom, and sides. Definitely combines all the works together and gives the work a warped dimension to the bodies.

Below are just a few time-lapses and a video of the layout and the layout being put up. Also a timelapse of the plynth we painted up in my theme for the TV so the Artist Documentary will be placed and fit in with the running finger painted theme of my works.
